At-home lab testing

Measure before you change anything.

At-home functional lab testing means you collect the sample yourself, usually saliva, urine, a small hair sample, or a finger-prick blood spot, and mail it to a certified laboratory. Abby Lee, Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP), helps you choose the panel that matches your symptoms, then reads the results with you and builds a personalized wellness plan around what they show.

How an at-home kit works

The kit ships to your address and you collect the sample there. You do not need a referral or a visit to a draw center.

  1. Choose your panel

Pick the test that matches what you are experiencing, or let Abby help you choose.

There is no single best test. The right panel depends on your symptoms, your history, and what you have already ruled out.

  2. Collect at home

The kit ships to your door with everything you need and step-by-step instructions.

Depending on the panel you collect saliva, urine, a small hair sample, or a finger-prick blood spot, then post it back in the prepaid mailer.

  3. Read it together

Results come back from the lab and you walk through them with a practitioner on a call.

On the review call you agree on what to act on first.

Questions about at-home testing

What is at-home functional lab testing?

At-home functional lab testing means you collect the sample yourself, usually saliva, urine, a small hair sample, or a finger-prick blood spot, and mail it to a certified laboratory in a prepaid envelope. The panels look at patterns across body systems, and a practitioner reviews the results with you.

Do I need a doctor's order to buy a test?

No. These at-home panels are ordered directly through EquiLife's practitioner platform, so no physician referral is required. They are wellness panels, not diagnostic medical tests, and they do not replace lab work your doctor orders. Share anything you learn with your own healthcare provider.

How long do results take?

Plan on a few weeks from the day you post your sample. Turnaround varies by panel and by lab, and shipping time counts. Once results are released, you book a review call and go through them together, marker by marker, with a written direction to follow afterwards.

Which test should I start with?

It depends on your symptoms. Use the selector above for a shortlist, or start with a broad panel such as the Organic Acids Test or a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis if you want a wide first look. If you are unsure, a free discovery call can help you decide.

Can I order a test without doing coaching?

Yes. Each panel can be purchased on its own through the links on this page. Most people get more out of testing when someone reads the results with them, which is why the coaching calls and the Empowered Health Reboot exist. Neither is required.

Is at-home testing covered by insurance?

No. These panels are paid out of pocket at checkout on EquiLife's site. Some people are able to use an HSA or FSA card. Check with your plan administrator about whether a specific panel qualifies.
